Silliness Poem

I’m participating in NaPoWriMo (National Poetry Writing Month), writing a poem a day for the month of April and posting it here on my blog to share. Go to NaPoWriMo.net for more details and to view many more participating poets. I did not follow prompts, but decided to share some laughs with the world. Each poem this month is silly, goofy, or fun just to bring you a smile and a little joy, which we can all use more of.

Silliness

The world is full of madness and sadness
But if you have eyes to see
You’ll find hilarity

Silliness is everywhere
Absurdities abound
From dancing birds to a squirrel’s full cheek
An ostrich with it’s head in the ground

But have a care
For if you look,
You are sure to find
And start to chuckle or even laugh
At inappropriate times
