I did it! 21 poems in 21 days. I had no idea how much I would enjoy writing poetry. Or how difficult it would be. Not so much finding the words, they flowed out fairly easily, but I found I had pain stored away that I couldn’t get past without writing it out first. It was a very emotional journey for me. I had to dig deep into my past and open up doors I had wanted to remain shut in order to move on to lighter, happier themes in my poetry. It was also very healing.
This collection will be published and I am eagerly awaiting details to get started on that process. I’m also going to continue to write poetry as well as work on a novel or at least short story. My goal is to get another work published this year.
