I Wanted to Write a Poem Today
I wanted to write a poem today that would wow you and make you so proud
I wanted to share words of beauty and love or maybe just make you smile
I wanted to spell out words of power, that would leave you in awe or deep thought
I wanted to write a great poem today, but, no, this is all that I’ve got.
