I’m participating in NaPoWriMo (National Poetry Writing Month). I’m writing a poem a day for the month of April and posting it here on my blog to share. Go to NaPoWriMo.net for more details and to view many more participating poets.
Marriage
Sailing ‘cross rough waters in a storm
Searching everywhere for the shore
One glance at each other pierces heart
Hard to steer a ship when we’re apart
Tempest rages as we rage right along
A gale of words we’ll regret ‘for long
Navigate this storm so carefully
Somehow we’ll again find our footing
Don’t lose hope, dry land is not far off
Water calms when we begin to talk
Waves are soothed with apologies
Both sides our ship balanced must be
