I’m participating in NaPoWriMo (National Poetry Writing Month), writing a poem a day for the month of April and posting it here on my blog to share. Go to NaPoWriMo.net for more details and to view many more participating poets. I did not follow prompts, but decided to share some laughs with the world. Each poem this month is silly, goofy, or fun just to bring you a smile and a little joy, which we can all use more of.
My Button
I’m missing a button, have you seen it? Did you take it?
Or see someone take it, or come in the room?
I’m missing a button and it was my favorite!
Did someone break it, sweep it up with a broom?
It was silver and sparkled, no, blue with white spots
Or maybe the pink one? Oh, I forgot.
It really is my favorite, maybe it was red?
Please bring back my button no matter what color
I need it to fasten my warm, fuzzy sweater
