Into the Sky Poem

Home » Blog » Into the Sky Poem

I’m participating in NaPoWriMo (National Poetry Writing Month), writing a poem a day for the month of April and posting it here on my blog to share. Go to NaPoWriMo.net for more details and to view many more participating poets. I did not follow prompts, but decided to share some laughs with the world. Each poem this month is silly, goofy, or fun just to bring you a smile and a little joy, which we can all use more of.

Into the Sky

I wish I could jump up
Into the sky and fly
So very high
Collect the stars
That brightly shine

Dance on the moon
With a broom
Sweep the moon dust
Into my sack of stars
It could be mine

Catch a comet like the young prince
Wrap the netting round my wrist
Hold on tight
Soar across inky skies
Flying high

I wish I could jump up
Into the sky and fly
