Gift of Spring Poem

Home » Blog » Gift of Spring Poem

I’m participating in NaPoWriMo (National Poetry Writing Month), writing a poem a day for the month of April and posting it here on my blog to share. Go to NaPoWriMo.net for more details and to view many more participating poets. I did not follow prompts, but decided to share some laughs with the world. Each poem this month is silly, goofy, or fun just to bring you a smile and a little joy, which we can all use more of.

Gift of Spring

Little fungi on the ground
Oyster and morel
With your tasty button crowns
Grow you sweet chanterelle
On mossy stump or regal tree
I shall seek you out
Fill my basket gleefully
Gifts of spring abound

To see all of my poems for this April, go to NaPoWriMo 2025 List of Silly Poems.
