I’m participating in NaPoWriMo (National Poetry Writing Month), writing a poem a day for the month of April and posting it here on my blog to share. Go to NaPoWriMo.net for more details and to view many more participating poets. I did not follow prompts, but decided to share some laughs with the world. Each poem this month is silly, goofy, or fun just to bring you a smile and a little joy, which we can all use more of.
For Fun
Have you considered skipping today?
Walking or trudging are all very well
They’ll get you from right here to there
But have you considered skipping today?
Like walking, but with extra flair!
Add in a great big swing of your arms
For dramatic effect and for fun
As you’re skipping along under the sun
Try singing a quaint little song
Sing cheerful, sing loud, it may draw a crowd
Don’t stop, but sing louder still
Swinging and skipping, smiling now singing
Will all make you feel very proud.
